Primary Years Programme

Within the Primary Years Programme (PYP), students gain fundamental skills, attitudes, and characteristics vital for lifelong achievement.

 Foundational competencies, including literacy, numeracy, scientific inquiry, social studies, and creative problem-solving, are imparted through collaborative exploration to ensure comprehensive skill acquisition. Furthermore, visual and performing arts, physical education, health education, and language studies are integrated into the curriculum. Following are the main features of our Primary Years Programme.

1. Play – to learn: When a child is free to play, he learns indirectly, and the development of bonds, logic and reasoning and knowledge becomes unforced and enjoyable.

2. Future-ready program: Our future-ready learning program incorporates the competencies and 21st Century skills of collaboration, creativity, critical thinking, and communication to prepare kids for their next stage of education and an unknown future.

3.Personalized Learning approach: Every child is unique! Our curriculum, teacher training, efficient teacher-student ratio (1:8) and technology enable our school to provide personalized education for each child.

4. Activity based learning: Our philosophy follows activity-based learning. Learning by doing! At Lil Bo Peep, we have gone beyond the traditional textbooks and have developed Activity-Guides that enable teachers to deliver topics in multimodal ways to support every child’s individual learning needs.

5. Mindfulness: We provide opportunities for the children to start identifying and understanding their emotions and introduce tools to regulate the same. Age-appropriate activities have been incorporated that increase focus and learning potential and the happiness index!

6. Learning Environment (School Architecture): The learning environment is an essential pillar of Finnish early childhood education. The day-to-day environment and the resources in the environment influence a child's growth and mindset.
